(Özokutokumu) or Royal Special Task Force. Literally translated as King Subordinate Secret Service and also known as the Zero Division.
The Royal Guard is usually made up of former captains (Taicho) of the Gotei Thirteen who have been promoted to this level. The Royal Guard is a special organization that performs services for the Royal family. It has a considerable amount of fighting, organizational, and executive power compared to other organizations. They are responsible for the protection of the Spirit King, the Royal Family and the Royal Palace. They are also charged with slaying Menos Grande, though the circumstance under which they do so is unknown.
